Dr. Pol & Mijten Partner to Launch New Pet & Animal Products in Europe

Dr. Jan Pol, the charismatic and celebrated veterinarian and star of National Geographic’s hit TV series, The Incredible Dr. Pol, is pleased to announce that he has entered into a new, long-term licensed collaboration with Mijten NV from Bekkevoort, Belgium. Terms of the deal include Mijten developing, distributing and selling The Dr. Pol brand in a wide range of pet foods, treats and farm feeds throughout the European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway.

According to Ben Mijten, CEO of Mijten NV, “Dr. Pol’s branded products of healthy companion pet foods, treats and farm feeds have experienced significant growth in a variety of branded product categories throughout North America. Mijten will work closely with Dr. Pol and his team to design, develop, market and sell healthy animal foods utilizing Dr. Pol’s 50 plus years of veterinary experience to support overall health for animals, at affordable prices for consumers.”

Mijten and Dr. Pol are developing a comprehensive line of formulated and nutritional animal food products that include full ranges of Dog Foods (wet and dry), Dog Treats, Cat Foods (wet and dry), Cat Treats, Dog and Cat Functional Supplements, Wild Bird Feeds, Farm Animal Horse Feeds, Rabbit and Small Animal Foods, Cat Litters, Small Animal Bedding and Animal Roughage, and Horse and Farm Animal Supplements.

The Dr. Pol brand will be introduced in Europe in a limited scope Fall 2024 and will debut with a more comprehensive brand extension at ZOOMARK in Bologna, Italy, May 5-7, 2025. Dr. Pol brand North American dog and cat food product lines are pictured below:
